I will keep answering your questions in between Newsletters.
At the end of of these
questions, I'm going to lead you in a prayer for healing. Faith for
healing comes from hearing the Word. Rom 10:17 So then faith cometh by
hearing, and hearing by the word of God. As soon as light comes from
God's Word, faith is there. So listen to the Word of God in the following
questions and then you'll be ready to receive Healing Now!
QUESTIONS FROM:
Shikha
Sibel
QUESTION FROM SHIKHA: :
"I KNOW THAT WHATEVER GOD DOES IT IS FOR OUR
WELL BEING, IT IS GOOD FOR US THEN ALSO WHY WE FAIL TO UNDERSTAND HIS
INTENTIONS, FAIL TO HAVE PATIENCE AND ULTIMATELY BECOME SAD BECAUSE WHATEVER
HAPPENS IT IS NECCESARILY NOT ACCORDING TO OUR WILL"
ANSWER: Shikha, thank you for your
question. You are appreciated. This is not really a question on divine healing,
but maybe I can help you out a little bit in pointing out the fallacy of this
kind of thinking. This kind of thinking does not acknowledge that we have
and enemy in this world. Jesus was talking about Satan, the devil,
when He said in John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to
steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and
that they might have it more abundantly.
To put it plainly, anything that steals, kills and destroys is the work of
Satan, not God. The Bible also says in 1 John 3:8 For this
purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the
devil. Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil.
Everyone that Jesus healed was oppressed of the devil. How do we know
that? The Bible tells us in Acts 10:38 How God anointed Jesus of
Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and
healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
Jesus went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed
of the devil. Jesus is the healer, Satan is the oppressor. Jesus
called him a thief in John 10:10. Sickness is a thief! It will
rob a mother of her child. Sickness will rob a loved one from a family.
Sickness will rob you of money that you need for other things. Sickness is
not of God. But, thank God, Jesus destroyed the works of the devil through
his death, burial and resurrection. All we need to do is believe and
receive the healing that Jesus has provided for us.
QUESTION FROM SIBEL:
Sibel, I'm going to paraphrase your question because of its
length:
"As a result of meningitis, Ethan, my 3 year old son, today is profoundly deaf,
unable to walk and slowly learning to eat orally and talk again. He had surgery
last year and was given the miracle of receiving cochlear implants, which means
when his bionic ears are turned on he can hear everything and it will hopefully
give him the ability to speak again. At night he needs to sleep with a sleep
apnea machine as he forgets to breathe correctly in his sleep, due to the damage
done to his brain.
Will my son walk and talk and eat well again, will he be rid of the sleep apnea
machine eventually and lead as normal a life as possible, where he can attend a
normal school and learn things to the best of his ability?"
ANSWER: Hi Sibel; God will do anything for
someone that believes. Thanks for the question. Sibel, the Bible
says in Rom 2:11 For there is no respect of persons with God.
But, he is a respecter of faith: Heb 11 6 But without faith it is
impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and
that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
God demands faith from us. If He demanded faith from us but gave
us no way to get faith, we would have a right to challenge his justice.
But the good news is God will even give us the faith: Rom 10:17 So
then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Because of your son's age, you have a right to believe God for him.
Sibel, understand this: Satan is the one wanting to destroy your child,
not God. I don't know whether I just get plain mad or if it's my righteous
indignation when I see the devil out to destroy people's lives.., especially
little children. But God wants Ethan well.
The Bible tells us in John 10:10
10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill,
and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it
more abundantly.
Notice that Jesus calls the devil a theif..., he's out to steal, kill and
destroy. Anything that steals, kills or destroys is the work of Satan, not God. Jesus wants Ethan to have life and life more abundantly.
So, if Jesus wants Ethan well, why doesn't He just do it?
Why doesn't He just heal him?
The truth is...and listen closely to me...God has done all He's ever going to do
about healing anyone. What do I mean by that? God has already
provided the means for us to obtain healing through Jesus. It's up to us
to receive healing. It's up to us to believe and receive the solution to
sickness and disease. Jesus provided healing through His death, burial and
resurrection.
Sibel, Matthew tells us this true story:
Matt 15:22-28
22 And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto
him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou Son of David; my daughter is
grievously vexed with a devil.
23 But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him,
saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us.
24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house
of Israel.
25 Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.
26 But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to
cast it to dogs .
27 And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from
their masters' table.
28 Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it
unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very
hour.
Mark's account of this gives us a little more detail:
Mark 7:25-30
25 For a certain woman, whose young daughter had an unclean spirit, heard of
him, and came and fell at his feet:
26 The woman was a Greek, a Syrophenician by nation; and she besought him that
he would cast forth the devil out of her daughter.
27 But Jesus said unto her, Let the children first be filled: for it is not meet
to take the children's bread, and to cast it unto the dogs.
28 And she answered and said unto him, Yes, Lord: yet the dogs under the table
eat of the children's crumbs.
29 And he said unto her, For this saying go thy way; the devil is gone out of
thy daughter.
30 And when she was come to her house, she found the devil gone out, and her
daughter laid upon the bed.
Sibel, this story of the Syrophenician woman shows us several things:
1) The woman had a right to believe for her child.
2) She acknowledged Jesus as Lord: Mt 15:22 and Mk 7:28
3) The devil was behind her daughter's problems.
4) She did not have a covenant of healing like the Jews did (that's why He
told her that He was only sent unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel)...but
notice that He is still no respecter of persons when it comes to faith.
5) The woman's faith made her daughter whole.
We also have the story of the 12 year old daughter of Jairus:
Mark 5:22-24
22 And, behold, there cometh one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name;
and when he saw him, he fell at his feet,
23 And besought him greatly, saying, My little daughter lieth at the point of
death: I pray thee, come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be healed; and
she shall live.
24 And Jesus went with him; and much people followed him, and thronged him.
35 While he yet spake, there came from the ruler of the synagogue's house
certain which said, Thy daughter is dead: why troublest thou the Master any
further?
36 As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of
the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe.
37 And he suffered no man to follow him, save Peter, and James, and John the
brother of James.
38 And he cometh to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and seeth the
tumult, and them that wept and wailed greatly.
39 And when he was come in, he saith unto them, Why make
ye this ado, and weep? the damsel is not dead, but sleepeth.
40 And they laughed him to scorn. But when he had put them all out, he taketh
the father and the mother of the damsel, and them that were with him, and
entereth in where the damsel was lying.
41 And he took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her,
Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee,
arise.
42 And straightway the damsel arose, and walked; for she was of the age of
twelve years. And they were astonished with a great astonishment.
43 And he charged them straitly that no man should know it; and commanded that
something should be given her to eat.
Sibel, here again we see that God honors the faith of a parent. Jairus
showed his faith in Jesus in verse 23 when he said, "come and lay your hands on
her that she may be healed and she shall live!" Even after he spoke his
faith, a horrible report came saying his daughter was dead...quit troubling
Jesus! Notice that Jesus told him not to be afraid, just
believe....believe what? Believe what he had already said...come and lay
your hands on my daughter and she'll be healed and she will live!"
Sibel, here are two stories of how God honored the faith of a
parent for their child. God will also honor your faith. Everyone
that Jesus healed was oppressed of the devil.
Acts 10:38
38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who
went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God
was with him.
Sibel, what can you do?
Understand this:
Healing is God's perfect will
Healing is God's will for you and for Ethan
Healing is God's will for you and for Ethan right now!
You have a right to stand in faith for your child.
I think it's interesting also that both the Syrophenecian woman and Jairus fell
at the feet of Jesus. Here we have a woman that was basically called a dog
and here we have a ruler of the synagogue...two extremes of classes of
people...but they both humbled themselves at the feet of Jesus. Sibel, I
look at this as a very important first step in the healing of Ethan.
Recognize Jesus as your Lord and Savior. Recognize that Jesus is the
Healer and Satan is the destroyer.
Humbling yourself before Jesus is humbling yourself before His Word, the Bible.
Tell God that you'll obey Him, that you'll obey His Word; basically it starts
with your dedication and consecration to God; to live right before God and Ethan
and to promise to raise Ethan in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
Eph 6:4
4 And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the
nurture and admonition of the Lord.
Sibel, as a believer, you've seen from the Bible in the above two stories, that
you have a right to stand in faith for your son. Rom 10:17 So then faith
cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
With the above 2 stories, you have the faith necessary to minister healing to
Ethan. Jesus tells us in Mark 16 18 that the believer "In my name,
they (the believer) shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover."
Sibel, Jesus Christ gave you the right and the authority to lay your hands on
Ethan IN JESUS NAME! You, say, "In Jesus name, thank you God for healing
my son Ethan right now. Thank you Jesus for healing my son right now!"
Sibel, you have authority over the devil and his destructive works. Say
this: "Satan, I command you in the name of Jesus to take your hands off my son
RIGHT NOW! It is written, in Mark 16:18 that the believer shall lay hands
on the sick and they shall recover; and I have done that, Satan, so you are a
defeated foe. Take your lying symptoms and get out of my house and don't
you come back here in Jesus name!
Sibel I want you to trust in the Word of God. God loves
you. Stay in faith by thanking and praising God for healing your son.
Faith thanks God before it sees the answer. Worship Jesus because you love
Him, because of what He's done for you. Thank God for His Word. I
will agree with you that it is done in Jesus name.
I expect a good report from you. Please write me and tell
me.
Jesus provided salvation and healing for us when he hung on that
cross:
1 Peter 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the
tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose
stripes ye were healed.
Prayer for Healing:
Heavenly Father, I see from your Word, that Jesus is the healer. I ask you
right now to heal me of my infirmity. I believe that Jesus came to do your
will and I believe that what Jesus did was for me. Jesus, I receive you as
my Healer right now. Thank you for healing me. I receive my healing
right now by faith. Satan, you take your hands off me and take your
sickness and disease and get out of my body now. Thank you, Father for
healing me right now in Jesus name. Amen!
Now continue to praise God for your healing. Don't be moved by your
physical senses; believe the Word of God. That's what faith is.
Believe you have received healing the minute you pray. Your body will get
in line with the Word of God. God says in Mark 11:22-25
22 "Have faith in God," Jesus answered. 23 "I tell you the truth, if anyone says
to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in his
heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him. 24
Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have
received it, and it will be yours.
NIV
In other words: believe you have received healing the very instant you
pray...and healing will be yours. Stay in faith by thanking God for your
healing...WHY? Well, if you've received a gift, wouldn't you say thank
you? God will honor that faith because God always keeps His Word.
Prayer for Salvation: (pray this out loud)
Dear Lord Jesus, the Bible says in Romans 10:9-10
That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart
that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your
heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you
confess and are saved.
Jesus, I invite you into my heart. I confess you now that you are my Lord
and Savior and I believe in my heart that God raised you from the dead for my
justification. I believe that what you did on that cross was for me.
Thank you Lord that I am now saved. Thank you, Heavenly Father, that you
are now my God. In Jesus Name I pray. AMEN!
